Definition of Communication – In public life we are always communicating to establish a relationship. Due to the lack of communication we will find out about something that each of them to one another. Actually, what is the meaning of communication itself? So in public life is in need to communicate with each other? What was the purpose of communication?. Before discussing further the understanding of communication, especially once we learn about the terms of communication, the communication comes from the Latin word communis meaning communicare or make the same or common property. If we communicate with others, we try to make what is communicated to others that belonged to him. More specifically
Types of Communication
Communication is basically used to create or enhance the relationship between human activity or group. Types of communication consists of:

A. Verbal communication with Words
a. Vocabulary (vocabulary). Communication will be effective when the message conveyed by the words that are not understood, because it’s as if the word is important in communicating.

b. Racing (speed). Communication will be more effective and successful when the speaking rate can be regulated, not too fast or too slow.

c. Tone of voice: it will dramatically affect the meaning of the message so the message will be another meaning when spoken with different intonations of voice. Tone of voice that is disproportionate barriers to communication.

d. Humor can enhance a happy life. Dugan (1989), notes that with laughter can help relieve stress and pain. Laughter has the physical and psychological relationship and it must be remembered that humor is the only distraction in communicating.

e. Brief and clear. Communication will be effective when delivered briefly and clearly, directly on the subject matter, making them easier to understand.

f. Timing (when appropriate) is a critical thing to note because it would mean if a person communicates is willing to communicate, that can make time to listen or pay attention to what is delivered.

2. Non Verbal Communication
Non verbal communication is the delivery of messages without words and non verbal communication gives meaning to verbal communication. Which includes non-verbal communication:
a. Facial expressions
The face is a rich source of communication, because the facial expressions reflect a person’s emotional atmosphere.

b. Eye contact, is a natural signal to communicate. By making eye contact or interact during a question and answer means that the person involved and appreciate his interlocutor with a willingness to pay attention not just to listen. Through eye contact also provides an opportunity for others to observe the other

c. The touch is a form of personal communication given a touch more spontaneous than on verbal communication. Some of the messages as earnest attention, emotional support, affection or sympathy can be done through touch.
d. Posture and gait. The way a person walks, sits, stands and moves to have expressed himself. Posture and gait reflect emotions, self concept, and the level of health.

e. Sound (Voice). Moan, a sigh, a cry was also one person’s expression of feelings and thoughts that can be used as communication. When combined with all other forms of nonverbal communication to hiss or noise can be a very clear message.

f. Gestures, is to reinforce the discussion. Using signs as part of a total of communications such as knock-ngetukan move his legs or hands during talk shows someone in a confused state of stress or as an attempt to relieve stress
